Chronic Insomnia Guitar Gallery
A storefront for instruments that are each one of a kind — where "add to cart" means something different when there's exactly one in existence.
The challenge
Chronic Insomnia sells vintage and collectible guitars — hand-picked, inspected, and photographed one instrument at a time. When it's gone, it's gone. Template e-commerce platforms are built for SKUs and stock counts; this business needed a gallery where every listing is a unique piece with its own story, photography, and price.
What we built
We built a custom storefront that treats each guitar as the singular object it is: rich detail pages, studio photography front and center, and inventory logic designed around one-of-one items. Behind the curtain, a purpose-built admin area lets the shop photograph, list, and sell instruments without wrestling a platform designed for someone else's business.
Under the hood
The gallery runs on a modern PHP application framework with a clean separation between the public storefront and the admin tools, deployed on AWS. It's fast, secure, and simple to operate — a shop this curated shouldn't need a staff of five to run its website.
Where it stands
The gallery is live and selling, with Fragment Labs continuing to extend it as the collection — and the business — grows.
